Dr. Dave McIntyre

Clinical and Forensic Psychologist

Dr. Dave McIntyre is a retired military Psychologist. During his service in the United States Air Force he provided performance psychology skills training to USAF Fighter Pilots, Flight Crews and Emergency Response teams. Dr. McIntyre transferred from the USAF to the United States Public Health Service (USPHS). During his service as an officer in the USPHS, he worked with the Indian Health Service, Federal Bureau of Prisons and the Division of Immigration Health Services. He led behavioral health response teams responding to national and international disasters such as the Indonesian Tsunami, Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Ivan, the Sandy Hook Newtown, Connecticut School Shooting, and suicide cluster responses to Indian country. He was highly decorated and named USPHS Psychologist of the Year, the Arizona Suicide Prevention Coalition Trainer of the Year, and received over 30 decorations from the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, and the United States Public Health Service. He retired from active duty at the rank of Captain (O-6) after having provided 30 years of service.

Dr. McIntyre is board certified through the American Board of Professional Psychology. He was highly decorated, having been named USPHS Psychologist of the Year, the Arizona Suicide Prevention Coalition Trainer of the Year, and received over 30 decorations from the U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Navy, and the United States Public Health Service. He retired from active duty at the rank of Captain (O-6) after having provided 30 years of service. Following his retirement from uniformed service, Dr. McIntyre continued his forensic psychology practice. He conducts forensic evaluations and consultation services as well as workshops and speaking engagements. Dr. McIntyre has served as a Subject Matter Expert in the field of Native American behavioral health, forensic psychology, suicidology, and behavioral health program implementation.

Dr. McIntyre has worked with elite leaders (military and civilian), athletes, performers, and professionals of all kinds. He has deployed to national and international natural and man-made disasters to include the Indonesian Tsunami, Oklahoma City Bombing, Sandy Hook (Newton, Connecticut) School Shooting, Hurricane Katrina, Hurricane Ivan, as well as suicide cluster responses in rural America. Dr. McIntyre has hands-on experience with how psychological principles can be used to answer difficult questions, improve human performance and help his patients strengthen their mental resilience when faced with modern day challenges.

Following his retirement from uniformed service, Dr. McIntyre continued his consulting and forensic psychology practice and is board-certified through the American Board of Professional Psychology. He conducts forensic evaluations and consultation services as well as workshops and speaking engagements. Dr. McIntyre has served as a Subject Matter Expert in the field of Native American Behavioral Health, Forensic Psychology, Suicidology, Behavioral Health Program Implementation, and Mental Skills Training.
